Comments: Not sure if this is the late 70's or the early 80's, but one things for sure:  In the right car, Tom Hager was sure to be found up front at the finish.  He won in almost everything he drove including his own #43, the #76, Barry Schenk's #A car, and many others.

03/02/08 BOBBY FIORELLO DOES ANYONE KNOW IF TOM RETIRED FROM RACING ? HOPE NOT,,
03/03/08 Kevin McElvaine Pretty sure I have the same photo in a Flemington Program. I wasnt traveling until 1982 so Id guess its a 1982 or 1983 picture. Maybe 1984 but I doubt that late
03/07/08 Matt This was the 1980 season. He picked up sponsorship from the 76 Truck Stop in Bloomsbury NJ that year which is why he's not running his usual number. He had the car on display in front of the truck stop the week before opening day at Flemington...
01.30.11 1beefman Yes Tom could drive anything competitively and win. He mastered Nazareth, Middletown, Flemington and others with his get to the front style. Few could out brake like him down the backstretch at Nazareth. He would pick off a car every lap that way. He could pass anywhere at "The Square", and he was just plain fast at Middletown. I miss watching him put on driving clinics everywhere when he was ON. Tom has done a lot for the racing world, remember Tom's TRICK STICK?

Sadly Tom ran into some mis-fortune with his health and he now races a wheelchair daily everywhere. So far no one has beat him yet. *I am sure Big Tom will stay involved with racing is some capacity. How could he not?
