Comments: Comment from Munkie: This is an Ace Lane Jr. photo of Billy Pauch at East Windsor.

My father only took us, my brother and I, to Windsor a few times when we were kids. Remember the roar of the big-blocks, I think on Sun. afternoons ? First time we ever went there, I remember sitting in the first turn, Ken Brenn backing the 24 in, and getting hit in the stomach with a clod of mud. I remember feeling like I just got punched by Muhamed Ali.

11/21/07 Kevin Mc I'd say the photo is actually from 1980.
11/21/07 Spilly I believe this is the car was later run by Ron Stashek as the #616. He won
a sportsman feature with it in the early 80's at Flemington. After that,
the "1" was erased, and it was #66, driven by Frank Mangone. I believe the
Onka Brothers were either co-owners or owners of the car.
11/24/07 Walter Onora Quite a few drivers drove the "121" based out of Staten Island. One of the first drivers that drove for the Scarmadellas was Jimmy Martz. At that time, the modifieds were sponsored by King Chevrolet. Some of the others who drove, were Sammy Beavers, Billy Osmun, Fred Dmuchowski, and of course Billy Pauch. Again the earlier modifieds were sponsored by either King Chevrolet or Acella Chrysler-Plymouth.
11/24/07 3Wide ...not sure if Fred Dmuchowski drove the #121, but I know he did drive the #122 team car (red and gold sedan).
11/25/07 Walter Onora Yes, Fred drove the "122" out of the King Chevrolet stables. I know Sammy Beavers and Fred crashed in the same heat race at Flemington!
11/25/07 Jim L. Nothin beats a Grant King mod on Firestone rubber on the tacky East Windsor (aka:Acella Speedway)
11/26/07 John in Houston Wasn't this car supposed to be Mike Grbac's new ride before that day at Reading...
11/26/07 3Wide Mike passed away from injuries in the Fall of 1978.  I know that he had been behind the wheel of a dark brown or maroon colored #121 that had a strange body on it, and not sure if there were additional plans in place for him to return to a #121 at the time of his passing.
12/07/07 Fred Voorhees Joe, that strange body was a Plymouth Arrow. I remember that car very well. I think it was mounted on a Walt Schwinning chassis.
