from Jere: This was Whitey Kidd's car out of Manhattan Speed Shop that Roger
was competitive with in the early 80's. I have no idea who took the picture. I bought it at the track in 1983 or '84, so whoever had the photo stand at Bridgeport back then could probably help us. My Dad and I didn't venture to NJ to often back in the day, so most of the pictures I have are from Grandview, Penn National and Reading . I wish I would've gotten to Flemington more then once, but Grandview was only a half hour drive. So we went there on Saturday nights. If Grandview rained out, we went to Bridgeport. |

One memory that stands out in my mind of Roger was from the late 70's or early 80's. Dad and I went to OCFS for Eastern States Weekend. I remember waking up the one morning and they were making an announcement about how someone had put sugar in the gas tank of his race car. I believe this was when he was driving the #125 Gremlin. Funny the little things that stick in your mind from your childhood. |
