Comments: Comment from Bob:  Heres a before and after shot of the Taylor 99 Show Car chassis driven by Geoff Bodine at SDW 1980. This was their sheet metal answer to help keep up with the Weld/Balough Batmobile. The top 2 photos in each set shows the original stock narrow gremlin body style of the era on Thursday for time trials. The 2 bottom photos shows what they did after seeing the Batmobile for the race!

03/13/06 Dale Welty That's Mike McLaughlin in his own design #Cra-Z8 in the back ground of the "before" photo. I believe that was the first Modified Magic Shoes ever drove. The car was low with a left side driver very similar to the pavement cars of the time. I always liked the look of that car. If anyone has a photo of the "after" body work of Merv Treichler that day it was very interesting......sort of a sprint car wing with window door posts connected to it!
