Comments: | Racing is all about family... Here's Clay Butler who also drove in the Late Model division at Flemington, is shown above in a red #4. Many will remember Clay's father Oliver Butler who drove the red #4 owned by Al Silliman (sp?) to the Garden State Championship in the early 70's, and who also drove the Fred Menschner owned silver and red #21. We understand that Clay's son Mike is now racing Slingshots too! |

12.03.09 | Ken Stull | Clay had a great career racing in the late model
division at the square and did well also in sportsman racing . He now has 3
sons racing and all 3 are talented drivers . Clay jr. is currently stationed
in Iraq , Bobby races anything that has wheels , and recently talking with
Clay Sr. I would say keep your eyes on the youngest of the three , Mike .
I've seen all 3 race and can tell you the Butler Boys and their dad take
their racing serious . Being around them at the track is a thrill and a pleasure in itself to watch them work together . |
