Comments: The Chevette....  Just the mere mention of it makes the toughest of mechanics cringe...  Try changing the distributor cap on one with AC!...  That being said, I can't think of a better thing to do with a Chevette than to peel the body off and put it on a Olsen!

Whoever said nice guys finish last never met Bob Toreky who I always found to be one of the nicest guys in the sport.  Bob won quite a few races, and along the way earned the respect of his competitors.  This black, silver and gold leaf beauty (lettered by COZ?) looked fast even when it was just sitting in the pits!

03/02/07 A Fan Used to watch Bob at EWS back in the 70's and he was fun to watch. I guess he'd be considered a "low buck" racer who got a lot of bang for his money. Guys like him were the backbone of the sport before all that money got involved and that's a shame. Local short track racing isn't as much fun as it used to be "back when". It's nice to see Bob's pictures and read the kind words about him. R..I.P. Bob
07/19/07 "Son of a Racer" 'COZ', Actually, 'Cos', is the a nickname for Bob Cosgrove (I used to call him AL). Cos lettered about a million dirt, pavement and strip cars, probably a hundred (or more) in the vault. You could have a section of the vault devoted to his work. I've been A FAN of his since the mid-seventies. What's up Cos?
