02/07/05 Bob G I think that drivers name is Willie Amerazano from Avenel NJ.
02/22/05 cos Willie was from Avenel.  I also was from there and went to Roosevelt Stadium in the early 50's to see his father's #24 race with Lenny Gould driving.    (Haven't been the same since)
12/18/05 Scott Willie was indeed from Avenel, he and his brother Amil ran that car.    There were 3 of us that ran cars at Flemington in the 70's and 80's that were from the Woodbridge-Avenel area, Willie was one of them.  If I remember this right, Willie took a pretty wild flip and completey wrecked this car before the end of the season. I think he never raced again after the accident. Scott from Woodbridge, NJ
03/12/06 WILLIE AMEIORSANO NICE JOB!   GLAD YOU LIKE MY CAR , THE #1 LOVE.   I DO LOVE TO RACE AND  AM THINKING OF RACING A MINI SPRINT IN FLORIDA.

I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM OTHERS WHO KNEW MY FATHER AND HIS CAR #24.   (He raced Rupert stadium, Vineland, Pittman, Oldbridge, Wall stadium and probably others I don't remember.  He raced from 1946 to 1963.)  EMAIL ME AT MEDOALL@ADELPHIA.NET .

THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!
03/05/06 3-Wide Willie - was there a reason for your choice of color and the #1Love?
03/17/06 Willie Ameiorsano

As for my car, I chose a bright color because of the visibility at night. Mike Grbac was killed driving a black car, flipped it and was t-boned resulting in his demise. The other reason was all the ladies loved it!

My wife named the car. She said it was my #1 love! I spent more time working on that car than I spent with her. I pulled a lot of all nighters to get that car the way I wanted it.

Thanks again for the memories ,  Willie Ameiorsano

06/28/08 Charlie Lindmar Willie,
I was one of the local hot rodders who hung at shines texaco and listened to your dad tell his racing stories.   I saw his red and white 24s at ruppert and roosevelt with lenny gould.  My dad had cars then too.  Red and yellow and black and yellow 69s with bill kohler driving.

Your old man was quite a character!  I remember his gas station too. I knew you a little bit from hangin with george perkins, cos and billy gibbons.
11/28/08 George Perkins Willie, I sent an e-mail to the address you have posted a while back. It came back undeliverable. I can remember seeing your dad's 24 race at Old Bridge ( the black one ).  I remember going over to your house to see it and watching your brother roll the fenders on a coach your dad was building.

I remember your dad real well, holding court down at Shine's. Like Charlie said, he was a real loveable character. I even went to a few races with him and Mike.

I also have a lot of memories of you, growing up in Avenel. The bicycle races we had in the wading pool down at the park, running up on the "banking", having to run in the opposite direction because of the way the seams were and it really didn't matter, cause you always won!

IF ANYONE HAS ANY PICTURES OF HIS # 24 OR MY CAR #1 LOVE PLEASE SEND THEM TO ME. MEDOALL2@BELLSOUTH.NET .
