01/27/05 Kevin B... First of all, thanks for sharing this great photo Bruce! man what a beautiful mod. to me these body styles of the mid-80s mods were the last of the of the nice cars. the Olsens, Troyers, Tobias chassis. and its when you could still see the driver operate. Thanks to Bob for all the fond memories, we miss you!
01/27/05 Walter Onora What a steady driver!! Looks like Danny Johnson's ride in the background. Possibly one of the season ending 200 lap races at Flemington. To this day, I do miss those season ending races!!!
01/28/05 Bruce Thomas Yes, This photo was taken in the morning, a couple of hrs before the 87' Wendys 200.   Bob was always one of my favorite drivers too...  Miss those days alot! Thank god for inventing the camera.
03/11/05 Bruce T. Kevin,
I'm glad that you enjoyed this photo, and I agree with you on the body styles too.  I think its time for another change. whats old is new again, dont you think?
10/08/05 Sue & Brad Hubler What an AWESOME looking race car....man, do I miss those days. Bob used to be one of my favorite drivers, the first time I got to see him race in person was way back when MODCAR was still around, and he came to Big Diamond Raceway one night and put a show on, it was a driving clinic that night Bob put on, those were the good ole' days....RIP Bob....and thanks for the memories.
02/06/06 Bruce Correction it was the 86' SKOAL NATIONAL DIRT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP 2OO which later became the Wendys 200 Thanks, Bruce...
02/23/07 Todd Lewis This car would become the 99 of John Leach and John kept the black paint.
