| 12/20/04 | Russ Dodge | This fine Larry Jendras photo shows MeMe in the Joe Harz modified #88. Many may not remember or know Joe, fielded modifieds before switching to sprints. Lee Elwell was the driver of the first Harz modified. Harz, fielded both the modified and a sprint for a short period of time. Back then, the big blocks could be run in either division. Based on how well their motor was running, a decision would be made to run it in the modified at Brigeport or in a sprint at Lincoln. Joe Harz Racing still carries the yellow base color on it record setting sprint today with Fast Freddie Rahmer driving. Thanks, Russ Dodge |
