Comments: Phil could be counted on to make things interesting in his good running R34.  Phil's grass roots effort and exciting driving style put him up with the best of in the mid 80's Sportsman division at the Square.

07/18/04 Dan Mecco I knew Phil Personally and he is a great guy. He worked for a past ARDC Crew Chief of the year named Jack Hart (GOD REST HIS SOUL)  (Jackie) at Harts garage in Somerville NJ.  Jackie had 2 of Bob Bench's Midgets The 76 Car And the 8 Car driven by Brian Siedel.

Phil started his racing career in ARDC Midgets and was a "Wild Man" when he drove. I say that in a good way. Phil had No sponsor and No Money to speak of but always seemed to be able to compete with his Midget. The cost got to be too much for him and he soon sold his Midget and bought a Sportsman to just run Flemington where his "Wild Man" driving was always a sight to see. This guy had RAW TALENT and Nerves of steel. He always put in his best even though he didn't have The best equipment. I haven't seen Phil in a very long time and often wonder what he's doing. Phil Take care!!!
