Comments: Comment from Ed:  Photo of Bob Lehrfeld, of Feasterville, Pa. (His name is often misspelled as Lehrfield). This photo is from 1978 or 1979.  Bob ran it as a sportsman at Windsor and Bridgeport until Windsor dropped the sportsman class and labeled them small-block modifieds. From then on, he only ran it only at Windsor as a small-block modified. He ran the car from the late 70s until 1990.

Bob Fisher built the car. It was one of the first Fisher cars, maybe even the first that he made for someone else. It was built in 77 or 78. Before he got this car, Lehrfeld ran an old coupe with the same number at East Windsor.

Many years ago I stopped by Bob's pit for an autograph after the races.  He stopped everything he was doing, grabbed his glasses and then signed his name to my program, which I still have.  I don't know how many that he gave, but I wanted to show respect to Bob. As a kid, I had an idea how hard it was to field a racer as Bob was one of the low buck racers who gave it his all.  He has since passed away but I hold that memory of a decent man who took his time to sign an autograph, to a 14 year old kid, that had the same dreams to race, that he had.

01.09.13 3Wide I remember Bob in his little #735 coupe...  It was a dark color... maybe real deep brown or maroon?
08.24.13 Dan Nerl I enjoyed racing with him and he was one of the nicest guys around, always had a smile. Bob got the #735 from his address.
