Comments: | After wheeling modifieds, Fred went on to a very successful Sprint car career, and last time we checked, is still given them fits out in PA... Pretty sure Fred's sons are racing Speedstrs as well... |

12.22.11 | Dave Watts | From the hi-line tower in the background it must be Grandview. |
12.23.11 | Dave Kauffman | Warmup day 1985 at Grandview Speedway - my proof: new shoes
(no oil splatters), old Rio Brothers racing suit from the previous year and
perfect tin on the car. I think that was one of the nicest looking Modifieds of the mid 80's. Love him or hate him he was fast. Probably a Don Marks Photo. |
12.23.11 | 3Wide | I never saw it this car run, but it is really cool looking. Everything seems to be going in the same angle... the quarters, the roof, the hood... even the nerf bars. |

That's a great photo. Definitely the start of a new season. I was a Doug Hoffman fan so Fast Freddie was the rival. Wasn't a huge fan but I have a lot of respect for the man. What an incredible talent in Modifieds and Open Wheel cars. |
