Comments: Looks like the Batmobile, possibly the year after Gary Balough showed ups at Syracuse and for good or bad... accelerated the evolution of modified stock car racing.. forever.

06.26.11 Don If I'm not mistaking the following year (after the Batmobile) was the Torino body. Also I see a MudBuss directly behind him and the year after Balough won there were only a very few Troyers built and that is not a Triechler or Johnson in the car.  So I would say mid 80's.

I'm wondering if Anthony Ferraiuolo could tell us the chronological sequence of cars ?
07.05.11 AF IV I would call this the 3rd version of the Weld/Batmobile.  This is the Torino shortened to fit the rules again.  I would guess this was taken in 1984.  Most of this version is from the long Torino except for the roof, upper half of the Quarter panels, and the hood scoop. After this it was changed again for the 85 race with me driving.  Changed again for the 86 race with Merv driving and for the last time in 87 with Doug Wolfgang driving.
