location are obvious...My dad took it and everyone in the picture got a copy
on a plaque. It was late in the season and Ronnie was a lock for the championship. He wanted a team photo. The show went late that night and to get the sportsman race in before curfew they didn't take the modified winner until after the sportsman race. When we got to the pits to sell pictures, Ronnie said I needed to go with them for the photo because I was part of the team. They had already put the skinny tire on the right front so it would fit on the trailer. My smile shows how proud I was to be there, in my members only style jacket and my camo and grey vans. When I ordered my Slingshot a couple years ago Richard asked "So which of my brother's cars are we making this like?" I said the 85 Bridgeport championship car. Off the top of his head he remembered the colors of car including the roll cage and the belts. |
