Comments: Big Tom Hager is one of the first drivers who I remember from my first visits to Fleminton in the early 70's.  He drove a real fast ratty looking blue #43 Falcon that might have had a heart painted on the back (it might have said, "I Love Used" referring to a salvage yard???), and was pretty much the man when it came to the Sportsman class right about then.  I think Tom moved up to the Modifieds around 1974 and took a turn behind the wheel of quite a few cars back then including the Barry Schenk "A"car, the Council Harroll #35, and many others.  Tom is still getting the job done at NES although I just read where he is readying a new car which he should have on the track soon.

07/10/03 Todd L I see one of the Kelly Brothers (Frank or Joe) behind Hager and also the cent sign which was one of my favorite cars (not sure Ploski or Adriaanse is in the cent sign as they both drove it)
07/10/03 3-Wide Looks like both Kelly cars (Not sure if they were brothers or father and son), and Joe Coverdale is also ready to head out on the track in the #J9
01.19.12 1beefman. I watched "Terrible Tom" throughout his career and he was one of the last drivers to design, build, drive, and win with his cars. His stable was an old garage next to the Lehigh in Easton, PA. Rumor has it that hot dogs were delicious and cooked in an old (clean) oil pan! Tom was one of those drivers who could and win everywhere he went. If he would have been sponsored better he could have easily won at Syracuse several times. Sadly Tom now gets around in a motorized wheelchair... which is the fastest wheelchair in the world.
