06/26/03 | 3-Wide | If you ask me, it looks a little like a refrigerator box with a Starsky and Hutch stripe on the side, but hey, if that's what it takes, and the rules are open enough... But then again, I'm the wrong guy to ask as if it were up to me, they'd all still be running coupes and sedans! |
03/02/05 | Dr. Know | Ron Ferriauolo confirmed that the car was in fact a
Torino. Actually, it is a rebodied version of the 112 Continental chassis that Balough
dominated the 1980 race with. The Torino body was stripped off at Weld's shop and the original 112 body re-installed. Thus, the 1981 Torino and the dominating 1980 #112 Continental is one and the same car. The #112 variant is currently on display in the DIRT museum.
