Comments: Great looking 80's car driven by Sam Pacich.  I'm sure the car's # has a lot to do with the great Dave Kneisel who Scott Pacich is a great fan of.  Check out Scott's column that appears in the Area Auto Racing News for some great stories about our favorite days of racing and some of our favorite cars.

02/05/03 Debbi This might be the car that Sam Pacich ran up at Nazareth 1/2 mile in the early 80's.
02/08/04 Scott Pacich I am pleasantly surprised that someone remembered my father's car.  He (Sam) owned it, and my Uncle Lou was actually the driver.  My father owned this limited sportsman from (I think) 1983 through 1988.  It was a Buzzie Reutimann frame (that Buzzie built specifically for him) that he changed quite a bit over the time he had it.  In this (it's last) iteration, it sported aa body built by Bob Smith (purple #16b at Flemington).  It was normally driven by my Uncle Lou, who as a 45 year old rookie in 1983 finished 2nd to Chris Michael in the ROY standings at Nazareth.  The best they ever finished was a 5th at Nazareth.  This car had a very "interesting" Flemington career as the first time they went there my uncle rode the wall and almost flipped it.  Another time, it was hit while it was on the trailer as they were on the back road approaching the track by a drunk driver.   Totalled the trailer.
02/08/04 Skip McPherson Scott: thanks so much for turning me on to this website thru your AARN column. You and 3 wide are the best,  You keep Flemington memories alive.
02/08/04 3-Wide Thanks for the kind words about the site and for any of you who don't know, Scott Pacich writes a great column that appears in The Area Auto Racing News called "Under the Radar" which features stories about the cars, drivers, owners, speedways....  of our favorite days of Short Track Racing!
