01/19/03 Todd L Schrader was at the square for Folgers and the Red Baron suit was his BGN suit at the time as Red Baron sponsored his # 52 BGN car
01/19/03 3-Wide I guess the sponsor was carried over from his earlier Red Baron Winston Cup sponsorship as I thing one year Kenny slid across the finish line at the Firecraker 400 on his roof in a car with that sponsorship.
02/19/03 Kevin Mc Schrader ran the Junie Donleavey #90 Ford with the Red Baron colors in 1986 if I recall correctly. I remember when he flipped at Daytona in that car he had an in-car camera.  They had it running live when the rescue squad came up to him after he flipped.  The on-air conversation viewers heard was...

EMT- "Are you alright?"

Ken Schrader.- "Yeah get me the F*** out of here!"

Almost fell off my sofa laughing when I heard that!!! Oh the beauty of live and un-edited TV

02/19/03 3-Wide Yea, that would certainly require a visit to Nascar's big red trailer nowadays.  That's one of the biggest problems with the sport now - drivers have to analyze everything they are about to say before they say it, to make sure that the sponsors and Nascar will aprove.  If that was to happen now to some of Nascar's new breed, the conversation would be more like this:

EMT - "Are you alright?"

Nascar New Breed driver:  "Well, I'm hanging here upside down, trying to figure out how to undo all of this safety equipment so I can get out.  You know, Nascar has really stepped up and are doing everything they can to make it safe out there for us while we're out here in this Citgo, Fiddle Faddle, Tide, A/C Delco, Prep H Chevy,   and I just hate it for the boys back at the shop, but it was just one of those racin' deals.  You know GoodYear gave us one heck of a tire today, and we keep adjusting on her and we was headed to the front. We'll just have to get them next week at Rockingham....

06/11/03 Steve Fegley What can ya say – Jimmy’s one of the best. Here’s one thing that I’ll always remember: He was at Flemington a week or 2 after his famous

trip over the wall at Talledega. I talked to him behind the grandstand and asked him how he was feeling an how that ride felt. (HE SAID "WHEN DIRTS FLYIN THROUGH THE CAR AND YOUR ASPHALT RACEIN, YOU KNOW YOUR IN TROUBLE!) As he walked away, I thought about that and thought hmmmmmmmmmm… good point.

07.30.12 Jack Burroughs I was there that night, sitting between turns 1 and 2, saw K.S. getting closer to the fence every lap, then as it got all dirt covered , he did hit it and the great side by side race with Jimmy was over.
