Car #: 51
Driver (s) : Bob Fisher
Location: Richboro, PA
Date: 1981
Photographer: Dave Spurlin

Comments: I remember first meeting Bob waiting for the East Windsor pit gate to open (before the races!) in the mid 70's.   He was the first in line with his car on the trailer and I remember him telling me that the #713 (that he was running at that time), was actually the number of the Air Force squadron that his dad was in.  Bob was an accomplished driver and fabricator - always inventive....

01/04/03 Dave Spurlin Here's Bob Fisher with his Fisher Engineering Special in 1981 I believe. This was taken outside of Fisher Engineering (Richboro, PA).   Finally, I got a better camera!
03/23/03 Mark Burd I believe that Dave Bodine purchased this car a year later and ran the rookie division at Flemington.
03/24/03 Dave Spurlin Dave Bodine's rookie car was an unfinished Harraka car (similar to a Grant King) that was finished by Bob Fisher as Dave's budget allowed. If I had a picture of his old truck you'd know what I mean! I'm not sure where this car in the picture ended up.
02/08/04 John Armbruster I believe this car was reskinned in '82 with an "Oldsmobile" body, but I don't know if if it became the white #17 that he ran for Rolfe Schnur.
02/08/04 Skip McPherson Always had some of the berst looking equipment!
03/19/04 Kenneth Borge This car is the car Bob re-skinned to the old's, latter I believe sold it to George Hildebrant #18

This is a Beautiful 1980s style Modified. I never seen this car compete but it is certainly one of the nicest of that time. I wish they had rules that still allowed the Modifieds to look like this!! I think this may be my next Model build!!
