| 04/13/08 | Spilly | This, of course, is Mike's Burnett car, looking rather new
here. I'd say this picture was taken in 1976, the first year he ran this
car. Mike won his second career sportsman feature event at East Windsor on
Sunday, May 23rd of that year. Top five in the feature were Mike, Ray Liss,
Doc San Fillippo, Larry Kline and Paul Weaver. By the time 1978 rolled
around, Mike and others at East Windsor were running the big drag tires. When East Windsor closed its doors briefly during this era, Mike ventured out to central PA and had some impressive runs at Big Diamond and Susquehanna Speedways with this car, not to mention Five Mile Point in NY and Bridgeport. I recently found my "Go Jablonski Go" button that I bought at East Windsor way back when. |
