Comments: Has to be the poster car for the song "Low Rider!"

I remember seeing a real interesting photo in one of the AARN pictorials showing a car very similar to this one alongside the much higher Tom Skinner owned #659 coupe, which ironically was being driven by Tony Siscone...  Looked to me like the the #0 could have went around the #659 on the left, on the right.... or if need be, "under" it.  (Actually, the article went on to say that the higher, more upright #659 with Tony behind the wheel was still able to more than hold its own against the newer, low slung cars which probably had a lot to do with the ingenuity of Tom Skinner and the driving of Tony than anything else...)

03/23/08 Barry Hulse New Egypt Speedway. Know that steel guardrail well!
03/27/08 Charles M. DeFebbo Barry is correct, this photo was taken at New Egypt. This is the "first" car, built in 1976. Later photos are the same car with newer bodies.

The original driver was Carl Grinar, who drove the car at the Atlantic City Speedway. Later on in 1976, Tony Siscone drove the car at New Egypt, Wall Stadium, Riverhead Raceway and Thompson Speedway.

I'm one of the original "crew members" on the Frank Ransom owned "0".
03/27/08 Michael Kent new egypt speedway........watched my uncle scoot around w/ that guardrail as a backdrop many times. thanks for the asphalt pics joe!!
09.27.09 Jimmy Plummer I remember seeing Tony race Go-Karts at the Aramingo Avenue track in NE Philly. This was in the early 60s. He was a good karter too. He was a contemporary of Bobby Ciccone (of supermodifed and TQ fame), who raced karts at the Delco Raceway in Chester, PA.
11.02.09 Michael Kent Funny you mention the Ciccone family---I used to race slot cars of all things with bobby's little brother "liquid" Lou
