Comments: Here's some really unique shots of the Schloeder Owned #K46 Valiant driven first by Al Tasnady and then by Mike Grbac.  (I think it came up earlier that Bob Pickell also drove the #K46 at some point too and I even saw a picture with Phil Meisner behind the wheel at one point.)  Pretty sure that's Ralph Barone (who worked on a lot of cars including the Piscopo #39)on the left and Tom Carberry on the right.  With these guys involved, you knew it was gonna be fast.   Really great to be able to get a look at this one before it ever saw the clay of Flemington or EWS!

08/04/07 Wayne Weaver WOW!

What a great shot of this car. I remember going to Flemington my first time there cheering Al Tasnady on. I think the year was 1972 or 1973. I still have my K-46 Al Tasnady shirt when I was 12 years old. Still in great shape. I really loved this car, the valient body was cut and positioned on the chassis just right. Really brings back some great memories when I was a kid thanks for sharing the photos.
08/04/07 Barry Miller It looks like Tas was going to be in the car that year, it has his name on the roof. This could have been the '72 season? It looks like they just finished the car, there is not a mark on it.
08/07/07 Hank Winecker I found a comment in the 7-22-72 issue of AARN that Bob Pickell won his
heat race at Flemington in the k-46... just vacated by al tasnady.  Finishing 2nd in that heat to Bobby was Jay Aten.
