Comments: This sport is about family.  Here's one of the greatest Oliver Butler (won the Garden State Championship in the Silliman #4).  Many will also remember Oliver in the Menschner #21, the Spivey #400 and other modified rides.

Oliver's son Clay also drove a red #4 in the 80's and drove in the Late Model Division.   I'm also thinking that another son "Ollie" drove in the late model division in possibly a silver #5.  Clay can now be found keeping things straight in the pits at New Egypt.  His son Michael Butler who's been making a name for himself in Slingshot racing and has quite a few feature wins to his credit already.

Speaking of family... this car was owned by one of the "Reebe's" from Staten Island.    Glen Reebe also ran a similarly painted #45 narrower Pinto in the sportsman division in the mid 70's at Flemington and East Windsor.

Speaking of family again, this car was driven at some point by Mike Grbac.  The Grbac family owned racecars back in the 60's and 70's and also owned the Fort Dix/New Egypt Speedway.  Mike's son raced at New Egypt and can often be found making the tow north to Thunder Valley.

And then finally, (and I'm really not sure about this one) but it looks like Jim Horton (who we call Jim Horton Sr.) in the shirt with the stripes.  Jim is a famous car owner and also drove in the sportsman class in the mid 80's at Flemington.  His son Jimmy and now Jimmy IV can both be found anywhere cars are sliding sideways and turning left!

Like I said, its all about family.

11/12/06 Walter Onora I am not sure but I remember Glenn Reebe piloting the other "45".   I believe Glen was Ken Reebe's nephew. Ken's brother, Ted actually owned the sportsman 45.
01/18/07 Glen Reebe Ken Reebe and Ted Teebe were brothers.  Ken passed away in September 2006.  He was 70 years old.

Glen Reebe is still racing drag racing at e-town in a 1978 camaro.
