Comments: This photo may not be the clearest, but it clear to see Stan working the inside of Glenn Fitzcharles in the Imperial Kitchen's #4T7.  It's been almost 30 years, but I think this is one of the cars that Stan broke his arm in after having the throttle stuck going into turn 1.

07/22/06 Joe Crisefi Well I was there the night of that wreck. I think he even crawled out while the car was upside down and on fire too maybe?  As always,we were right there in the 1st turn when it happened. I was only 7 or 8 years old, but I thought the car was a different color??  Maybe not, but it was definately a 4T7.
07/22/06 3-Wide The car that Stan flipped and caught fire was the Emmett Alfrey owned maroon colored #47 that was most often driven by Mike Grbac which I'm told was built by Whip Mulligan.

Not sure of the details, but the #4T7 (above) was yellow.  When Stan broke his arm, the car did not get upside down.  It just hit hard... very hard.
09/03/07 JC Ok, it was just 47. Not 4T7. I knew it was something like that. I was so young but I remember all this pretty good, I think. Just goes to show how much of an impact Flemington had. I am 42 now and I have so many memories of it. Still!!
09/03/07 3-Wide Tom Carberry Sr. was also very involved I think on the maroon #47 mentioned above.  I'm not sure of all of the details, but we do agree... here it is 30+ years later and we're still talking about these great machines the guys that built and drove them.
09.28.09 Tom Alfrey THe 4T7 was built by Tom Carberry with money from Imperial Kitchens in Deans N.J.   He built it after leaving the power full Whip Mulligan car owned by Emmet Alfrey.  This car was a copy of the Mulligan chassis
