Comments: Was reading Scott Pacich's "Memories of Sedans" in the June 27th, 2006 edition of AARN and got to looking at this photo.  Most of the sedans mentioned in his article appear thoughout the Vault, and I thought, here's another pretty cool looking example.   I never had the opportunity to see this one run, but hope you guys will provide the details.  Can't help but notice that it says for sale up on the roof.

Wonder if it's still available.... !

07/05/06 Greg Chelak Looks to be at OCFS,  It most likely was "Eastern States 200" weekend.

Three reasons why: After the track was watered the run-off was extremely similar to that on the inside of the track in the photo. Second, the chain-link on the front stretch at Middletown had No top poles as the one in the picture and not may or any other tracks had fences like that one in the picture. Finally the "For Sale" sign on the car indicates it was most likely the end of the season - many competitors raced their mounts with "For Sale Signs" on them Eastern States weekend! [My brother Gerard has a photo of Stan in the same car at the Eastern States with a "For Sale" sign also. I believe '74-'75!
07/05/06 Matt Bahre I believe your right about the location and the race (Eastern States 200).
The car appears to have very large tank in the rear which is how we use to do it in the those days. 200 laps and no stops!

07/06/06 Wayne Heiserman The photo of Stan Wetmore's car is from an Eastern States weekend at Orange County. I am amazed at how sharp your Web site friends are!
07/06/06 3-Wide Well Wayne... it's like the old story... "Even a blind squirl finds a nut once in a while."...

Actually Wayne, thanks for providing the photos recently including the one above of the #73.  Regarding your comment about how sharp the Visitors of the Vault are, I can't tell you how proud I am of the whole bunch of them, for not only how much they remember... how much they've somehow cataloged in their heads...  but also for the spirit, the attitude and the passion that comes through in the comments received.  I'm grateful everyday that there are people out there that are just as interested in this stuff as I am.

If we ever have a Modified Racing version of "Jeopardy", I wouldn't bet against Greg or Matt when it comes to anything that happened north of Trenton during the 70's!...
07/17/06 No74Falcon Just wondering if this is a Tobias chassis?
07/19/06 Matt Bahre In fact it is a Tobias frame as Wetmore and Delmolino were the first two drivers at the Valley that had cars out of Tobias's shop!
