Comments: Comment From Greg:   The # 990 is (me) at 17 years of age. That is Middletown and that coupe was the old Ritter / Bottcher [Red 666] that won so many features in the early to mid seventies.  It was quite a ride let me tell you!  I ran it at Middletown, Accord and Five Mile Point on special show dates.

10/08/08 Mike Coburn I remember this car as both the 990 & 666. I have a picture of the 666 hanging over my desk and it was taken by the photographer of this photo, Gerard at Eastern States.
07.12.09 Johhny Brennan I remember in my youth taking rides around the neighborhood in the 990 sitting on the interior sheet metal riding right next to Greg as he throttled through the streets - the noise, the fumes, the speed, the thrills. The coupe body is in Salisbury Mills, NY at my family's house a fitting tribute. The impressions on youth modified racing implanted - Thanks for the memories.
11.06.10 Joseph Brennan I always liked the looks of the # 990 Coupe - This car was one of the original # 666 Ritter Creations

The Chelak Brothers brought the car and numbered it 990 - It was a brown and yellow creation that was sharp looking - Greg later updated the ride and it returned with a Vega body numbered 666 at first [it was still primer gray Modified] then later painted # 990 once again Brown and Yellow - The car was destroyed in the first turn at Middletown in 1979!

The night prior to it's destruction the car finished 9th at Accord Speedway Coming from last in the feature and that is a story for another day!
