Comments: Ray Liss receives another checkered flag from Harry Dee after what was probably one of many feature wins he picked up in this quick running little "Liss Built" Gremlin.   Along with being a very accomplished driver, Ray is known in the racing circles as one heck of a builder/fabricator, along with being a heck of a nice guy!

05/09/07 Gary LaFetra I have known Ray since joining GSVSCC in 1993. I remember him from when he drove at EWS and he was always fun to watch.

Since meeting him we have become pretty good friends. I have seen some of his creativity in action as he has built 4 vintage cars while I've known him. If he can't do it, it probably can't be done. I'm always in awe at vintage meets when people remember him from his driving days. Pretty good when you realize he hasn't raced since the mid to late seventies. As soon as they know he's there they usually want to say hello {fans as well as competitors}. I know for me I am proud to call him my friend!
05/10/07 3-Wide Take it from somebody who was there... for a while in the early 70's, Ray was absolutely unbeatable in the Sportsman division and had everybody scratching their heads!

He was and still is one of our sports finest!
