thanks to photographer Paul Irving. Not sure if this is the year, but I know that Sammy had the big show in Syracuse won one year in the Norcia #81 and a disagreement on fuel strategy found Sammy a few laps shy of victory. It was a dissapointment that I think unfortunatley lead to the break up of this great team of Sammy behind the wheel of the Norcia Black Horse Racing #81. Time passes and we all look back, but you have to wonder what else this team would have accomplished if it wasn't for that one gallon of racing fuel on that October day.... |

07/26/04 | Fred Voorhees | Without a doubt, one of the prettiest Gremlin style modifieds of all time. The Norcia Black Horse racing team had some beautiful machines in their time! |
11/09/05 | Tom Unangst | Could someone refresh my memory... Didn't Sammy win the Mike Grbac Memorial 100 at Flemington in 79 or 80 in this car? I remember it being one of the best and most emotional races I ever saw there as he had been Sammy's best friend. |
