Comments: Strong runner Mike Jablonski leaving the luggage rack...   Well let's face it... The Gremlin really never was much when it came to trunk space!

I think there was some association with this car and with the orange #33 driven by Gary Boekout as I think both drivers might have been from the South Brunswick, NJ area.

02/08/04 Spilly Great picture....I think this was taken in 1976.  It was the first year he ran this particular car.  Mike won a sportsman feature in '76 at East Windsor, the second of his career and first with this Burnett Chassied mount.  I still have the program with him (in victory lane) on the cover.

Mike lived in Franklin Park at the time, and I'm proud to say I was a occasional helper on this car.   I used to ride my bike over to his house...wasn't yet 17....and I still have my bright orange Mike Jablonski Racing Team Jacket.

Mike won about four or five features in this car, at least one more at Windsor, in the drag tire era of the late 70's, and at least one at Bridgeport.  This car was eventually sold to Western PA driver Les Myers, who ran it as a big block and re-numbered it X3.  As many of you guys know, Mike went on to win a Bridgeport Sportsman track championship in a Buckley chassied car, and then made the switch to URC and finally the Central PA 410 sprint cars.

Incidentally, Mike didn't run much at Flemington in the sportsman class, but he would eventually win a feature in his sprint car there.  He was always willing to take the time to answer the many, many questions I had for him, and it was such a thrill for me when he would occasionally pick me up and give me a ride to the races at East Windsor.   Great memories.Rob Spilatore

01/20/07 Ed Lee I still have the body from this car in the picture in my garage. This sure brings back a lot of good memories from the 70's working as a crew member on his car at EWS and Bridgeport.

I ran into Mike last year at my work place and said he is living in Cream Ridge NJ now. He was a great person to work with on the old 33 jr.

I wish I could find the chassis to this car so I could restore it with the original body.

After Mike went to sprint cars I could not travel that much so I started building Late model cars for East Windsor. Lee Taylor Jr. drove our shop car and went on to win two track championships at East Windsor in the #12 L&W Racing Products car.   - Ed Lee Clarksburg, N.J.

I remember many times during the summer months helping my father work on the motors.  He was able to tune that motor running on alcohol while I ran out of Mikes shop because of the fumes. It will be good to see that car on the track again! Thanks, Dan Smith
