Comments: Comment:  The transformation from sedans and coupes to 60's & eventually 70's body styles wasn't always a pretty one, but it did provide for some very interesting looking race cars and it gives us all a window into some of strategy that was in play at the time.  Here's a 1st generation Camaro (67 - 69) bodied car (the 3 indents ahead of the rear tire look real, making it a 1969 for sure.)  It's got extended doors that look like they are turned in toward the engine to keep the air on the outside, a very flat nose and hood, and I guess the holes on the side of the roof (c pillar?) are to reduce the parachute effect (?), and it looks like knock off wheels in the front to speed up the pit stop times.  On the inside, it looks like maybe a mirror support ahead of the steering wheel maybe?

Enough about the car...  As for the driver, it could be argued that Dutch Hoag was the best at Langhorne!
