I'd like to explain the lettering on the hood propped up against the garage.....  Jay's dad was Roger Aten a legendary mechanic and machinist at Carvers NAPA in Flemington.  There's no telling how many engine blocks he machined for early racers such as Frankie Schneider, or Bob Pickell, or other Flemington locals.  As young men will.. Jay and Dennis called Roger.."RAJAH" , and painted that name on the hood, as "ROGER" was their engine builder.

In a related story...one incarnation of an A10 had a cartoon character painted on the hood, labeled "THE MAD TORQUER" . The story behind that was...One Saturday they were all ready to take the A10 to Flemington and decided to torque the heads one more time, they promptly pulled one of the studs loose, ruining their chances at running that night.
