Great shot of Rene Charland's #3... Notice the "Captain" All
Star Racing League logo on the side of the roof. If it wasn't for that
All Star League, I might not have gotten to Flemington when I did as the
reason I first went was because having been loyal East Windsor fans for
years, in 1970 or '71 we heard about an All Star race being held that week
(Tues? or Thurs?) at Flemington and decided we'd give it a try....
We'll, I was hooked after just that one show. Great photo from Bill Farress... and you guys know that I can't get enough pics that show the water tower in the background! When I see that, it's like I can figure out exactly where this picture was taken and which way the car is facing... like if I was standing right there alongside it.... |
