"Fast Eddie" as many people called him, was a real
character off the track, All business on the track. Don't let that some what
of a (tough look) fool you in victory lane. He was probably grin'ing from
ear to ear on the inside. |

I spoke to Eddie about 5 years ago (2008?) regarding an
upcoming Legends Night at New Egypt Speedway. Unfortunately he
couldn't attend, but I really enjoyed having the chance to talk to him....
He does have a lot of great stories for sure.
We spoke about a bunch of things including "the Nitrous story at EWS", about
how Grandview took a win away from him - something about the car (the one
above) being too light, but it really wasn't or something like that.... and
he also talked about his good friend, fellow racer Gary Butler that ran the
really cool little silver #U2 racers who sadly passed away at a very young
age. |
