Comments: Comment:  Nice picture of Ed Connor's #39C in the pits at East Windsor.  Ed was a steady runner in the sportsman division and in my mind, and as mentioned elsewhere in The Vault, I'll always remember Ed coming to the rescue of sportsman driver Frank Klem who had flipped in turn one at Flemington and whose car was totally engulfed in flames.  As he hurried to escape from the car, Ed was already out of his car with fire extinguisher in hand to help his fellow driver.
