Comments: | Never saw this car run, but that doesn't stop me from really enjoying this photo. It's what a lot of us liked about "modifieds..." A very visible fuel injected big block stuffed between 2 frame rails... a hand lettered body mounted over top of the cage, with the driver clearly visible behind the wheel. There was a uniqueness to the cars, and an excitement to watching the guys behind the wheel wrestling their homebuilt creations down the straight and through the turns. So much so that even if there was a lull in a particular race, fans like us could find excitement just by taking in the coolness of of the cars....whether running in a pack, or just riding around by themselves... just being cool... |

remember has a young teenager when we seen cars like this,BIG motors and a visible driver not just a helmet sticking out.. We use to say is this the guy thats going to beat those hot shoes tonight??.. LOOK at that CAR its LOOKS FAST!!! |
