10.20.10 Harry Cella This car was gorgeous a nice orange and silver paint scheme, I think it was a new Tobias frame, unfortunately if I remember correctly, it was destroyed on opening day at Reading when the throttle stuck wide open going into the first turn. I was there that day, thankfully Jim wasn't injured. I have photos of the destroyed car wedged up against the first turn wall. I will have to dig them out and send them in to you.
12.11.10 Chuck Hassler Sorry the frame was a Kreitz frame. One of the crew use to come in at the local garage and complained the frame was to heavy so there fix was to lighten it up a little. During the race a stone got lodged in the injector linkage causing the throttle to stick and sending it into the wall. Car was totaled. Only got the injector and one head off the car. When they built the new car they put another Kreitz frame under it.
12.11.10 Phil Long I do think also Jim broke his leg or ankle in the crash. If anyone can confirm that please add.
