Comments: Great looking coupe... looks like opening day!  Wondering if this car was later driven by either Gary Boekhout or Mike Jablonski as the color and/or number reminds me of both of those guys...

03.15.10 Daniel Smith This was the only coupe my father built.  This was a team car to the pinto Mike Jablonski drove. I can't remember if this was a homebuilt chassis or a Profile chassis like the pinto. My father told me this car had a 377ci small block that he built for it. This photo was taken in 73 or 74. My father had sold his 33 falcon to Mike and his brother Bob ( M&B Construction) and this car was built for Garry Boekhout to drive . Al drove this car after Garry. I remember the shell sitting behind Garry's house before it was built. I was so excited to finally have a coupe after several falcon bodied cars!

Thanks, Daniel Smith
03.16.10 Jeff K If I'm not mistaken, this was the 2nd coupe for the team. The first coupe was built by a speed shop down by the shore somewhere, Spiveys (sp) speed shop perhaps? That car was driven by Garry Boekhout. That was the first (and last) year that Garry moved up to the Big Blocks. Mike Jablonski drove the team car 33jr, which was a Pinto body and one of the first Profile cars

This one I believe is a Profile chassis. Al picked up the ride after Garry Boekhout left the team and moved to KY.
03.17.10 Mark Yaple This shot was taken in the East Windsor pits line up area. Al Mattera is the proprietor of Al's Service Center on Route 206 in Lawrenceville, NJ.
03.17.10 3Wide Sorry about that Mark - The location of "Flemington" is in default in the template that I use to create new pages and sometimes I forget to change it.  All of the photos provided by Bob Becker are from EWS and are some of the best photos taken of cars in the EWS pits.  I made the change.
08.14.10 Harry Cella I bought this car from Mike Jablonski in the mid 70s and it became the #56 of Harry Cella. This was a Profile chassied car with trailer bars in the front and leaf springs in the rear. I ran this car for 3 seasons at Nazareth and Orange County. Joe Poliacek drove it a few times for me at Nazareth and used it as a backup car to win the title at Nazareth one year. I flipped it down the backstretch at Nazareth and that was the end of it. I sold it to a couple of guys from the Scranton area that wanted to run Mocatek with it.

It looks like Don Jones Sr is looking out over the top of the pit stand.  I only sat there 3 or 4 times tops myself as it was too scary of a vantage point even for me.
