How can you tell that the yellow was out when this picture was taken??? Answer: 'Cause that's the only time you'd ever see Al that low on the track! Thanks for the great picture Jeff. It's little gems along the way like this that keep the wheels of the Vault going round and round. Keep those #292 pictures rolling in! 02/26/07 | Kevin Budden... | Truly one of the all time classic cars! Thanks Al for all the great - great memories! |
02/26/07 | 3-Wide | I've been in touch with Bill Lowden, and if I ever give him the go ahead
to build it, that's exactly how I want it to look! I've got the frame rails, the
body, a 283, a rear, a front axel, some hubs, 3 speed transmission, and a few other odds
and ends. If it ever gets built, I may need a bunch of Vault Visitors to help me roll it on its roof a few times and then back on all 4's to give it that authentic look. Couldn't imagine the thing without the battle scars! |
02/27/07 | Kevin Inglin | The answer provided is plausible, but a better answer is Al's not looking out the right side window. :-) |
02/27/07 | 3-Wide | I'll go with that, and also, the fact that you can't see his elbows! Those who remember Al in this car will remember that you could really see his arms working the wheel trying to keep the thing off the outside boards. Usually the boards would jump over and get under his car... |
