04/02/05 Spilly Could this be Reading? One clue is the Schmidts Beer sign...(Wasn't the
Reading 200 lapper called the Schmidts 200?)  In addition, Reading had a midweek(Wednesday Night?) small block show for a while during the mid 70's.
04/03/05 Barry Miller This picture was taken at Reading and I believe it is 1975.  During the month of June of that year they ran small blocks on a Wednesday night and the first Wednesday night they got 150 cars and they were not prepared for that many. They had to use the infield to park some of the cars in and there were cars everywhere.

That was the year that Eddie Mumford dominated Windsor and Bridgeport with this car, I think that it was too light for Grandview. He won a couple of those mid-week Reading shows and Billy Pauch won one of them. I was standing on the homestrech after the race that Billy Pauch won when they were checking the motor sizes and they had a 339 cubic inch limit. Pauch won and Mumford got second, Pauch's engine checked out at about 289ci and Mumford's was right on the line at 339ci. Pauch drove the wheels off of his car to win that night and he won in a close finish. It was one of the best races that I ever saw at Reading and Pauch really impressed me that night. I liked the Orange Crate better than this car though.
04/15/05 J. STINNETT ISN'T THIS THE CAR THAT EDDIE WON THE FREEDOM 76 AT GRANDVIEW?
