Comments: | Comments provided by Paul: Oliver Butler with a cool pose at Flemington, 1974, with the Fred Menschner #21. This car was always fast in modified action, and Ollie won some features with it. I remember Stan Ploski running it one night at the 'square' with excellent results. The car was silver with red trim. 05/28/06 | Susan Spivey | I to had the great pleasure to meet Ollie
Butler. He drove our car at East Windsor, the ole #600. One night at the track Ollie was in first place and we were up and hollering and Mrs. Butler was so excited that she didn't realize she was shaking the guts out of the poor man in front of her. But he was just as excited as we were. My father Jim Spivey was the car owner and even though they both have passed on, my father instilled a great love for racing and Ollie truly taught us true sportsmanship. Those were the good ole days...... Sincerely Susan Spivey |
