Comments: No secret, Al represented to me what the sport was all about.  Design it, build it, drive it hard, fix it...  Ask anyone who went to the races back in the 70's and they'll usually have a story for you about Al.  Probably the quietest guy in the pits, who was the total opposite behind the wheel.  Al had too speeds:  ALL OUT and All OUTER.  He once had a discussion with me about putting a roller on the corner of the right rear bumper to not lose momentum when you banked it off the wall coming out of Turn 2 & 4 at Windsor and just about anywhere at the square!  (That's a true story!)

10/05/03 BOBBY FIORELLO NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I SEEN A RACER GET SO MUCH OUT OF ANY CAR HE DROVE.    THIS MAN SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A TOP NOTCH RIDE BUT THE OWNERS WERE AFRAID OF HIM DRIVING THERE CARS TOO HARD AND TAKING TOO MANY CHANCES.  GOD ONLY KNOWS WHAT THIS MAN COULD HAVE DONE IN A MUD BUS, GRANT KING, OR OLSEN CAR AT THAT TIME.  .EVERY TIME WE'D GET READY FOR THE FEATURE I'D TELL LES "LOOK OUT FOR AL, HE'LL BE COMING."

A REAL TREAT WATCHING HIM AT FLEMINGTON.  WHEREVER YOU ARE AL, THANX FOR THE MEMORIES.  BOBBY FIORELLO (FORMER K3 CREW)
