Comments: | I always remember Fred driving some neat looking #305 creation, especially in the sportsman days in the early 70's at East Windsor. I don't really remember this car, but it gets more interesting each time you look at it. (See John Mc's notes below...) |

04/01/03 | John Mc | The driver is Fred DeGroot, the car owner was Billy Flagg, and the neat thing about that car was that the driver sat over to the right while the engine was offset to the left. It was also powered by a small block. The car went pretty well, and it was sold to Benny Scheer of A&B Garage and driven by Mike Grombir as a Sportsman. I believe it was Billy Mason, Jr. that flipped it end over end on the backstretch @ Flemington in an old timer's race.) |
