Comments: | Paul has a knack for getting the shot from a place where you might not expect it. Looks like Ken has it fired up and is ready to go out for some warmups! |

Note from the Photographer | Paul Irving | This was to be the last race at Reading, however they did open in 1979 for a few shows. This car - Grant King built - was very racy looking, (yellow and red with the checkered flag), it didn't get any better! |
05/25/03 | Tom Vroom | THIS IS OPENING DAY AT READING FAIRGROUNDS, NOT SURE OF YEAR GRANT KING CAR |
06/26/03 | Jeff McClung | A perfect example of the workmanship on these modified, for there day they were the hot ticket, I do believe the Brenn's were the first ones to obtain Grant King modifieds. |
12/27/05 | Mychaluk3 | Does anybody remember Ken Brenn Flying in the air about 15 feet off the ground the whole back stretch of East windser speedway one night? |
03/07/07 | Jesag1 | Yes - just found this site. KB did in fact fly down the back straight and hit hard. In the pits after the race, the frame was indeed bent, and needed much work. Though only a kid then, seems like yesterday. |
