03/14/03 Todd L I believe Ronnie Dunstan was good friends with AJ Foyt (yes that AJ Foyt) and George Snider and may have run USAC  Midgets or Indy Cars for AJ Foyt. Any help on this?
01/19/04 Ted Schmidt You are correct, Ronnie did run some USAC suuff, mostly midgets.
07/24/04 Raybert I remember Ronnie when he ran Bob Bender's semi-late model Fords in 1967-69 on the Sel-Wil circuit with quite a lot of success. He also tried his hand in sprint cars during this same time. I believe Ronnie still holds the altitude record at Selinsgrove for a sprint car when he ran over a wheel that came off of another car near the end of the frontstretch. Ronnie suffered a detached retina and was out of racing for a while until he healed.

He then moved off to modifieds and I lost track of him until I saw him racing Legends cars on TV a number of   years ago and I've read he still does so.

07/29/04 Steve Pados This racer was a former Carl Van Horn 71E and was bought by Karl Thompson who changed the paint and number. Affectionately known As Karl Thompsons "Mean Machine" Dunstan was a threat wherever they raced the car.   Steve Pados - Car Quest Gaoline Alley
09/08/04 Walt This car was the Carl Van Horn 71-E, Sold to Karl Thompson & driven by Ronnie Dunstan in the middle 70s. On a sad note Karl passed away last December.
07/17/07 Barry Schlosser he is still running legends and in victory lane almost every given weekend. he is currently running for ralph rehrig and rmr motorsports.    With his teammate jason rochelle they are 1 and 2 in points almost everywhere they run ... look him up at www.rmrmotorsports.com
03/03/07 Kathy Jones Ronnie is still friends with AJ Foyt. He was hired by him to drive his NASCAR hauler. He is still racing in the Masters Division for the INEX Legend Cars. You see, I'm one of his long time fan club members, he is my uncle and when I was just a young girl he would take me to the track with him. I can still remember going to his garage with him so he could do work on his race cars. I was his gofer back then, he would tell me what tool he wanted and describe it to me and I would get it for him. Because of him I can say that if something happens to my car I'm not afraid to fix it or get greasy. You can follow this years race results for him at www.rmrmotorsports.com  .
