| 07/31/04 | Bob Hummer Sr. | I believe this was around 1974. I remember Billy going to Reading on Friday Nights then. I got a kick out of when he ran the Rookie class at Flemington. Whoever the first three were that finished in the Rookie class got themselves qualified to start as the last three in the sportsman division. Well, sure enough Billy won not only the Rookie race but at least once he won the Sportsman race also as I recall. He was always another favorite of mine. |
