02/22/03 Spilly This car ranks among one of my all-time favorites. I think this is at least 1976, possibly early '77. Judging by the freshly painted boards and the clothes the fans are wearing, I'd say it's opening day. They won everything in sight with the coupe in 1975. Remember the pinto-bodied Norcia car that Sammy drove? That was between the Coupe and Gremlin. I have a picture of Sammy in Victory lame at Windsor in the pinto.   At the time, he had a big "spacesuit" type helmet/uniform combo. It was pretty weird looking.
02/23/03 Sqzin I don't remember a pinto but remember that mustang. The one that Ploski flipped down the back at the square
02/28/04 John Armbruster When I think of classic modifieds, this is definitely one of them.  Beautiful, absolutely beautiful piece of work.  I remember the Pinto, and the Mustang that Ploski flipped...I remeber John Norcia had a quote in AARN, something to the effect that, "when I saw we had the #18 on the car, I knew we were in trouble."
03/30/07 Little Paulie This is the car they took to Syracuse in 75-76 they were running like the wind leading the race at the moody mile when they ran out of gas with only a few laps to go, my dad is Paul Stolpinski who was a vital part to the norcia/schron team of the 70-80's, my dad said there was not a dry eye in the place that they cried like baby's, he told me that every year they went to syracuse one stupid thing or another happened to them they should have won syracuse 4 or 5 times over the years, it was the one race that evaded the Black Horse Racing team, The Team that area auto racing news called the " The Best Damn Crew in Town ".
