Comments: All kinds of stories surround Gary Balough, but between his record on some of the local tracks combined with his Syracuse history, Gary was a big winner in the 70's and early 80's.

02/23/03 Sqzin Man if it wasn't the coupes it was the gremlins but these #73 were bad acters, real fast man i miss seein them
03/01/03 don c hey do you remember the sedan bodied # 73?
03/01/03 3-Wide Not sure.  Was it driven by Balough?  I'll see if I have anything
03/03/03 Todd L Another one who was fast Gary Balough is somewhere down south working with a NASCAR All-Pro Series team. I seem to remember him returning to Syracuse within the last few years in either a # 73 or # 112.
03/31/03 Ootseecananawana I can remember Gary driving the Pink (violet) # 4 gremlin and dominating the scene, he was one of my favorites
03/31/03 3-Wide I remember the car, but it was actually a #9 and if you check out page 1 of the 60's you'll see a car that was the same color and #.  I also remember Gary wearing a black helmet which was kind of different back then.  Thanks-
06/04/03 jetone I believe this car was built by Whip Mulligan.  Think he may have even driven it for a while.  The #9 was owned by Richard Egge
10-/22/06 Eric Lorenzoni As a kid frequenting Middletown, and having my own favorite drivers, it was hard to root for this car and driver that were the class of the field, (And won almost every other week). You could not help but realizing that this combination with Gary B at the wheel was pretty much un-stoppable. At that time, there wasn't a sleeker and more nicely painted car. Best looking ride to me as a kid that year, giving Tighe Scott a run for his money. Now that I am in my 40's, I miss the old coupes that are classic machines such as the #00 of Buzzie and the #659 of Parker Bohn. Not to mention the 61 of the Rapid Roman. Thanks 3 Wide!
