06/01/03 | Brian Loutrel | Billy Osmun periodically drove this car early in the 1973 season. It had a 350 cubic inch injected Chevy engine in it at a time when virtually all modifieds had the 427 Chevy enging. Stan Ploski drove this car in the final races of the 1973. He won the closing 30 lap feature at Flemington in this car. I remember sitting in the first turn and Stan was waaay out in front when the car stalled! Stan was able to restart the car maintain the lead and win the feature and the track championship. He then won the Flemington 200 that year by coming from behind three times. Stan also nearly won the Eastern States 200 at Orange County Speedway in this car, but it broke down and Stan dropped out. |
08/21/04 | Bucky Stevens | This car later became Bob Pickell's 300. It was innovative in that it had an independent front suspension. |
