I have recentley read that the proposal to seek a variance to the existing zoning that would have allowed for a residental housing complex and some retail business has been withdrawn, however the future of the track is still in question. 

There seems to be confusion as to whether the current owners are really sincere in keeping the facility as a family entertainment center, or whether redevelopment is prefered.  If the current owners are supportive of providing racing, then we encourage them to contact us so that we can get the word out.  Perhaps if race fans are convinced that keeping racing at the Jersey Shore is the owners #1 priority, then race fans would be willing to support the speedway racing activities and also help support the owners in gaining support for other family entertainment possibilities, including a drive in.

I do not pretend to know how to convince race fans of anything, and at this point, with all that has happened over the last 6 months, I think it will take a direct request from the current owners.  But as requested, if the owners efforts are sincere, we will be happy to forward their information to the visitors of the Vault and beyond.
