02.01.20 Jim Hall The # 36 Sedan pictured above became the #36 driven by George Schaeffer. The car was then sold to Skip Coleman.  (See notes below from Skip):

I bought the car (it was originally the #36 built and driven by Bob Rossell) from George Schaeffer,
who was a multi feature winner at Wall and AC.  I drove the car as a red and white sedan body (pictured below).

Unfortunately I wasn't as good a driver or mechanic as he was, and could only eke out one feature win.  But that win was something I'll cherish forever. At that time the fields were always full and sometimes we had to run 2 consi's because of the large car count.

The second season I changed it over to the Pinto body style and it remained that body type although we did repaint it half way thru the season thanks to some crashes.

A lot of times people don't realize that the car that's running 15th is trying just as hard as the car that's leading. That's what turned me on to auto racing. But at the time I was a father of 2 young children and after 2 years it was just too expensive to continue. So the one Sportsman feature win (1976 at Wall) and other heat and consi wins were the good times, the blown motors and crashes weren't a whole lot of fun.

When I hung up my driver's helmet after my last blown engine I gave the car to the Frey Brother's who had helped me out over the course of my racing career. They never did race it after that and I have no idea what happened to the car.
